PCD FIELD ACTIVITIES

Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina working on a micro-project
The Red Cross of B&H started implementation of a micro-project in one community in the area of Bijelina. It is about establishment of a community center in the space between Roma communities, together with a Roma organization, some support from the authorities and voluntary work by the community members.

The purpose is to allow the community a space for events, promote healthy life-style and make possible to carry on medical checks. Among the specific objectives is to reduce chances of young Roma people to spend their free time in the streets, where they are often involved in anti-social activities.

The Red Cross branch in Zavidovici failed to meet the standards for PCD, communities were not involved, and the project proposal was not supported.
